Do you want to take a break and get away from the city’s busy environment? Then why not go with your family to Henson Robinson Zoo? Its nature-inspired ambiance and the wild animals exported from Australia, Africa, Asia, North and South America will surely give you and your family a refreshing view. There are more than 300 animals housed here, all of which came from 90 various species. Even more, this AZA-accredited animal have made sure that every visitor would learn something about animal care. Just to give you something that you will find beneficial for your little ones, here are some of the educational programs offered by Henson Robinson Zoo:
Zoo Tot – This program educates children (ages 2 above) to know more about the different animals featured in the zoo. There are fun and informational activities that await like arts, crafts, games, animal stories and animal visits! The fee for each kid accompanied by adult is only. $7.00.
Zooper Edventures – Like the other program mentioned above, this is another educational experience that mainly focuses to a deeper study of animals while having fun. Just think about this, for only $13.00, you and a whole class will get to learn something new!
Project H.O.W.L. – If your kid’s age is in the range of 10-12, this would be the best program to pick. It will talk more about helping animals and learning how to be of simple help in preserving the critically diminishing number of wild species. You can pay $13.00 per class if you are a resident of Springfield Park District and $15.00 for non-residents.
